Can’t You Hear Me Knocking?

*I am currently working my way through my fourth semester of the Information and Learning Technologies master’s program at University of Colorado, Denver.  This is the first post within a series of Daily Creates that I’ve been assigned to complete for a course titled Digital Storytelling.

I’m back at the Master’s program at CU Denver…only two semester to go!  I’m taking a course titled INTE 5340: Learning with Digital Stories and I’m really excited to use up some of my creative energy!  We’ve been tasked with completing a Daily Create once a week and tying that creation to our chosen theme for the course.  My theme is called “My Food Memories” which is a sort of self-reflection on my life so far, through food.

Today’s Daily Create was to “Capture the audio sounds of you knocking on a door, or a table, or some other material. Go for ordinary or go for strange (you know which we like).”  To tie in with my theme, my Daily Create is of me knocking on my favorite Dutch oven.  It’s getting old and the color has drastically changed, but it’s cooked many, many delicious meals for me over the last 12 years.  It has a beautiful and delicious knock to it!  🙂
