Red Foods My Kid Won’t Eat (A Podcast Created By Me)

*I am currently working my way through my fifth and final semester of the Information and Learning Technologies master’s program at University of Colorado, Denver.  This post is part of an assignment for INTE: 5680 Producing Media for Learning.

“Record a 5-10 minute audio podcast about a color.”

With such a vague topic for a podcast, I didn’t know where to start.  I’m always trying to think outside of the box for these creative assignments, while still trying to stay in the realm of “doable greatness” – a realm in which the project is doable, but still great (in my opinion at least)!  During dinner that night, I tried to get my three-year-old daughter to eat a red cherry tomato, which was probably my 77th attempt in her three years of life.  She hates them…with a passion.  And not just red cherry tomatoes, but all tomatoes, and only in their raw, whole form.  She adores tomato sauces and will gobble them down when they’re cooked and mushy and no longer recognizable as dreaded raw tomatoes.  And that all got me thinking…about how she doesn’t like a lot of red foods.  So here is my podcast on the color red…
